Score an asset and read its scores

Last updated: October 12, 2026

Score any image, video or 3D model against your studio's rules and read what each rule found, so you know whether to ship it, fix it or redo it.

Before you start

Steps

  1. Find the asset in the Asset Library, a project or a session board. With a headline rule set, a scored asset shows its score in the tile's corner.

  2. Open the asset. In the details on the left, find Policy scores. An asset that has not been judged says Not scored yet. Select Score now. Layer confirms Scoring started. Scores appear here as they finish. and each rule's score fills in a few seconds later, without reloading.

  3. Read the row for each rule: its name, the score in the band's colour, and the judge's reason. Move to the next asset with the arrow keys or the arrows beside the image and score it the same way.

  4. Work through the rest of the batch the same way. Each asset is scored on its own against each rule, never against the others.

Result

The asset keeps the newest score from each rule in force, with the reason. The headline rule's score is also stamped on the asset, so its tile shows it and the library can sort and filter by it. To judge an asset again after a rule changes, open it and select Re-score.

Reading the three results

The clip above scores three candidates for the same piece of store art against two workspace rules, House style and IP clearance.

Good: ship it

The warden render scores 92 on House style ("muted olive and brown palette, soft key light, painted texture on the parka and fur") and 97 on IP clearance. Both rules are green. It goes forward as it is.

Middling: fix the one thing named

The second version scores 88 on style, but 58 on IP clearance: "A round emblem on the left chest is not in the references and is not the studio crest." The art is fine; the emblem is not cleared. Remove it with an inpaint, or confirm it is yours, rather than regenerating the whole image.

Poor: send it back

The watercolour pass scores 31 on House style: "Watercolour washes and a paper-white ground instead of the painted realism and studio grey of the references." It is clear of IP problems at 96, but it is the wrong look. It needs a new pass in the house style, not a touch-up.

Production tips

  • Act on the lowest row, not the headline. The tile shows one rule's score. An asset can be green there and amber on a rule that matters more for this delivery, so open it before sign-off.
  • Use the reason as the next prompt. A middling rationale usually names the fix ("the parka is purple, not olive"). Paste it into a prompt edit on the same asset and score the result.
  • Score in batches before hand-off. Opening assets one by one suits a review. For a delivery of dozens, re-score the library for the last few days, or score through the API. See Filter, sort and re-score assets by score.
  • Video and 3D score too. A video is watched in full; a 3D model is judged from its rendered preview, so check its silhouette and materials there.
  • Same asset, same score. The judge is asked to score each asset on its own against the rule, never on a curve against the others. If two near-identical assets score far apart, the rule is ambiguous: tighten its wording.

If something goes wrong

  • There is no Policy scores section. Only images, videos and 3D models can be scored. Audio, text and reference sets cannot.
  • Score now does nothing after the confirmation. Scores usually land within seconds, longer for video. If none appear after a minute, close and reopen the asset. If the workspace is out of Creative Units, scoring does not start: top up and try again.
  • Only some rules show a score. A project's rules apply to an asset that belongs to that project alone. An asset in several projects, or in none, is scored against the workspace's rules only. Check the asset's projects, then score it again.
  • Failed to start scoring. Your role may not be able to generate, or the request was refused. Ask an admin to check your role.
