Sometimes a raw Forge output may have deformities or unwanted artefacts. To fix these, you can easily change any area of your image by selecting and forging.
How do I make a selection?
Layer provides 2 tools for selection: Lasso and Marquee
1. Lasso
Lasso tools is a freehand selection tool. You can pick any part of your image:
Hit
L
to enable lasso selectionHold
SHIFT
to add to your existing selection.Hold
ALT
to remove from your existing selection.Hit
CTRL-D
to deselect/cancel your selection
2. Marquee
Marquee tool helps you make rectangular shape selection:

After I have selected an area, what do I do?
Add Details
If you want to add details to your images like an animal, a house or an object:
Select the area you want to add your details
Input what you want to see in the prompt box like
a wolf
Reduce Image Similarity to 0. This step is important as we want Layer to ignore the pixels under our selected area.
Hit Forge.
Remove Details
You may have unwanted details in your images. To remove them:
Select the object you want to remove from your image.
Clear your prompt
Make Image Similarity %0.
Hit Forge
Generate Variations
When you want to generate variations of a part of an image:
Select the area with Lasso or Marquee tool.
Describe the variations in the prompt.
Make Image Similarity between 10%-50%. Making it higher will results in a very similar variations.
