The Prompt Edit tool allows you to transform an existing environment into different stages of progression - such as broken, empty, or filled-in versions - without starting from scratch. This makes it easy to create before-and-after rooms for your game.
Step 1: Open Your Asset in Prompt Edit
Go to Refine > Prompt Edit.
Select the game scene image you’d like to modify. This can be in any style.
Step 2: Choose a Model
As a starting point, we recommend using Gemini 2.5, the latest model from Google, for high-quality and consistent results - alternatively FLUX Kontext is also a good option.
Step 3: Write Your Prompt
Describe the changes you want applied to your game scene Keep your focus on what should change, while leaving the rest untouched.
Here are some recommended prompts you can try:
Create a broken version:
Turn this room into a ruined version with broken furniture, cracked walls, and scattered debris while keeping the same layout.
Clear out the room (empty version):
Remove all furniture and decorations, leaving the room completely empty but keeping the structure intact.
Fill in with new assets:
Add cozy furniture, warm lighting, and decorative plants to make the room feel inviting and lived-in, while keeping the original walls and layout.
Lighting variations:
Change the lighting to a moody blue nighttime glow, keeping all other details the same.
Seasonal themes:
Transform the room into a snowy winter holiday theme with frosted windows and festive decorations, while keeping the same furniture layout.
Step 4: Generate and Compare
Once you submit your prompt, the AI will generate a new version of your environment. Compare the before and after to see how the room has progressed, then refine your prompt if you’d like further adjustments.
Tips for Best Results
Keep prompts direct and descriptive - mention only the changes you want.
Use the same base image when creating progression steps to maintain consistent style and layout.
Start broad (e.g., “empty room”) and then layer on details in additional edits for better control.
