What is a workspace?
Layer is built around workspaces. Each user is assigned a personal workspace by default and has the option to share a workspace with their wider team. Free and Pro plans are designed for solo creators and Studio and Enterprise plans are designed for teams and allows for more collaboration.
Can the same user be part of multiple workspaces?
Yes, same user can be part of multiple workspaces and can switch between workspaces via the profile picture on the top left corner on the app.
How do I add members to my workspace?
Workspace settings> Members> Add Member. Layer allow you to add members individually or in batches. Remember once your trial ends you'll be charged for each member. Make sure to remove the members who won't be using Layer.
Understanding the types of roles on Layer Team workspaces
Layer has several roles that help you control the level of access your workspace members have. These roles are:
Once you decided the right level of access for your team members you can select roles for each of them when sending the invite. Make sure to select the right roles to avoid confusion around access rights.

Admins have full access to the workspace. They can:

Billing Admin (view only seat)
Billing Admins can:
Add or remove team members
Manage the subscription, billing information and view invoices
This seat wouldn't allow you to generate assets therefore you'd not be charged for this seat type.
Workspace Notifications to insert your company's AI policies
Yes. This is an enterprise-only feature and enterprise plan users can go to Settings > Notices and turn this on.

On Notices section, you will have the permission to set alerts and notifications for your team members. Simply click on the " + Add Notice " button and you will have one notice draft ready.
Here, you can edit your message however you like. Also, you can add the frequencies to determine how often your notice will be shown to your workspace members.
By clicking one of the options below (Once, Daily, Weekly, Each Login) you can decide on when your workspace members will be noticed.
You can also tag your notices by clicking one of the two options there (Draft & Live).
Draft means your notice will be semi-offline and it won't notice your workspace members, but you still can edit the notice.
Live means your notice will be active and it will notice your workspace members depending on the frequency you have set.
