What is a workspace?

Layer is built around workspaces. Each user is assigned personal workspace by default and has the option to share a workspace with their team. Free and Pro plans are designed for solo creators and Studio and Enterprise plans are designed for teams and allows collaboration.

Can same user be part of multiple workspaces?

Yes, same user can be part of multiple workspaces and can switch between workspaces via the profile picture on the top left corner on the app.

Can I assign different roles to my team members?

Layer has several roles that help you control the level of access your workspace members have. These roles are:

Artist

Artists can:

  • Generate images using any style in the workspace

  • Upload files

Editor

Editors can:

  • Create or delete folders in the Layer Drive

  • Create, import, export or delete styles

  • Generate images using any style in the workspace

  • Upload files

Art Director

Art Directors can:

  • Create or delete folders in the Layer Drive

  • Create, import, export or delete styles

  • Generate images using any style in the workspace

  • View image generation history

  • Upload files

Admin

Admins have full access to the workspace. They can:

  • Add or remove team members

  • Manage the subscription, billing information and view invoices

  • Create or delete folders in the Layer Drive

  • Create, import, export or delete styles

  • Generate images using any style in the workspace

  • View image generation history

  • Upload files

Billing Admin

Billing Admins can:

  • Add or remove team members

  • Manage the subscription, billing information and view invoices

They do not get charged for a seat.

Can I set alerts and notifications for my team members?

Yes. This is an enterprise-only feature and enterprise plan users can go to Settings > text notifications and set this up.
