Guide for All Useful Shortcuts

mod = โŒ˜ for macOS, ctrl for Windows

Tool Shortcuts

  • V: Select - Select areas of the canvas and UI.

  • H or hold down space: Hand Tool - Move the canvas around.

  • Z: Zoom - Zoom in our out on the canvas.

  • W: Object Selection - Find and automatically select objects. Hold shift to add to the selection and hold ctrl to remove from the selection.

  • M: Marquee - Make a selection in the shape of a rectangle. Hold shift to add to the selection and hold ctrl to remove from the selection.

  • L: Lasso - Make a freehand selection. Hold shift to add to the selection and hold ctrl to remove from the selection.

  • J: Mask - Draw a mask with the brush. Hold shift to add to the selection and hold ctrl to remove from the selection.

  • B: Brush - Paint custom brush strokes.

  • U: Shape - Draw squares and circles.

  • E: Eraser - Remove brush strokes and image pixels.

  • O: Import Image - Import images from your drive.

  • C: Crop - Trim or expand the edges of an image.

  • I or hold down alt: Color Picker - Pick a color from the canvas using the dropper.

Edit Shortcuts

  • ]: Increase brush or eraser size.

  • [: Decrease brush or eraser size.

  • mod + equal: Zoom in.

  • mod + shift + equal: Zoom in more quickly.

  • mod + minus: Zoom out.

  • mod + shift + minus: Zoom out more quickly.

  • mod + 0: Fit to content.

  • mod + A: Select all.

  • esc: Clear selected area, or pop tool from the stack if there is no selected area.

  • backspace or delete:

    • If there is a selected area and an active layer, erase selected area on the layer

    • If there is no selected area and there are selected layers, remove those layers

  • mod + Z: Undo.

  • mod + shift + Z: Redo.

Utility Shortcuts

  • mod + shift + E: Download the canvas as an image.

  • mod + shift + F: Toggle fullscreen mode.

Mouse Buttons

  • middle mouse button: Enable panning while pressed.
