Change an image's camera angle
Last updated: October 11, 2026
See a character or object from a new angle without drawing it again: turn a front view to three-quarter for a turnaround, or look up or down at a scene.
Before you start
The image is in a session, or in your library ready to add to one.
Each run costs Creative Units. The cost depends on the model you choose.
Steps
In the session, press ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) and choose Add asset….
Select the image, then click Select 1 asset. It lands on the board.
Hover the image on the board and click View to open it full-size. The viewer shows the file's details on the left and the Actions panel on the right.
Under Tools in the Actions panel, choose Change camera angle. The image appears on a 3D stage with the camera around it.
Under Camera angle, pick a preset such as 3/4 right, Low angle or Overhead (use the arrows to see more), or drag the camera on the stage. Fine-tune it with Rotate, Vertical and Zoom.
Click Change angle.
Wait while the image is redrawn from the new viewpoint. The viewer stays open, and the new version appears beside the original.
Result
The new view opens in the viewer as a new file. The original is unchanged: both sit in the strip on the left of the viewer, newest first, so you can switch between them. The new file is also added to the session's board.
Production tips
Turn in small steps. A 45-degree turn keeps most of what the original shows. For a side or back view, run the tool again on the best three-quarter result rather than asking for 180 degrees at once, and check each step against the original.
Start from a clean, full-body image. A neutral background and the whole figure in frame give the model the most to work from; cropped limbs have to be invented.
Build a turnaround as a set. Make each angle from the same front view with the same settings, then lay the results out side by side on the board to check proportions before they go to modelling or rigging.
Describe hidden details. The back of a costume or the far side of a prop is not in the original. Describe it in Describe the scene so it is not guessed.
Need more control? When the result is close but not right, use Prompt edit image on it to fix a detail rather than re-rolling the angle.
If something goes wrong
Change angle will not run and the form says Move the camera before you generate. The camera is still on Original. Pick a preset or move a slider.
Details on the far side are wrong or missing. They are not in the source image. Describe them in Describe the scene, or turn in smaller steps.
The edit failed. The new version shows the failure in the strip. Try again; if it fails again, try another model.
You are out of Creative Units. The edit will not start. Top up from your workspace's billing settings, or ask a workspace admin.
