Cancellation & Refund Policy

Everything you need to know about how cancellations work, what happens to your Creative Units, and Layer's refund policy.

Layer's pricing is consumption-based. All Creative Units are prepaid. This article covers how cancellations work, what happens to your remaining units, and our policy on refunds.

Cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically at the start of each billing cycle. You can cancel at any time, and no minimum notice period is required. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

What Happens to Remaining CUs

Studio

Go to Workspace Settings β†’ Subscriptions β†’ Cancel. This is fully self-serve via Stripe.

Remaining CUs stay available until the start of your next billing cycle, then expire. No refund is issued.

Enterprise

Email support@layer.ai with the reason for cancellation and your preferred cancellation date.

Remaining CUs stay available until the start of your next billing cycle, then expire. No pro-rated refund is issued.

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.

  • Creative Units are non-transferable and non-refundable upon cancellation.

  • No minimum notice period is required for either plan type.

Refund Policy

All Creative Unit purchases, whether through a recurring subscription or a one-time CU pack, are non-refundable.

  • Monthly plans: Unused CUs reset at the start of each billing cycle.

  • Annual plans: Your full year's allocation is available upfront and can be used at any time during the year.

  • One-time CU packs: Must be used before the end of your current billing cycle. They do not roll over.
