Layer's Reward Program: How to Earn Free Creative Units

Learn how Layer's reward program turns your regular workspace activity into free Creative Units, and how to claim them.

What is the reward program?

Layer's reward program turns the work you would already do into free Creative Units. Set up your workspace, generate assets, chat with the agent, or run workflows, and you'll earn CUs back into your shared balance. It's the same CUs you spend on images, video, 3D, and audio - not a separate point system or badge collection.

How to access it

Open Earn free units from your workspace sidebar. When a reward is ready to claim, you'll see a count next to it. This is available to every workspace by default.

Workspace admins can hide this panel under Settings > Rewards if they'd rather not show it to their team.

What actions are rewarded after the starter journey

Once you're past the starter pack, rewards scale with regular production work. These include:

  • Forging images, video, or 3D from the board

  • Running workflows that generate an asset

  • Chatting with the Layer agent (answered messages count)

  • Building reference sets

  • Building your own workflows

  • Trying select models and tools, such as Seedance 2, GPT Image 2 at 2K, or image to 3D

A workspace can earn up to nearly 4,000 CUs total from the full reward catalog. Rewards unlock progressively, so the most current opportunities always sit at the top of the panel.

How to claim your rewards

Rewards don't move into your balance automatically. When a reward is ready, open Earn Free Units in the sidebar, then select Claim on an individual reward or Claim all to collect everything available at once.

Where claimed CUs go

Claimed CUs land directly in your workspace's shared balance. They last for one year from the date they're claimed, and any unused CUs will roll over in full each month.
