Upscale images in a workflow
Last updated: October 12, 2026
Add the Upscale Image node to raise the resolution of every image a workflow makes, ready for export, storefronts and large formats.
Before you start
- Open the workflow on its canvas. Your changes are saved as a private draft until you publish; see Build and publish a workflow.
- If you leave the model empty, the node uses our recommended upscaler. The factors it offers, and the largest image it accepts, depend on the model.
Steps
Click Editors in the toolbar at the bottom of the canvas and drag Upscale Image onto the canvas.
Drag from your images' output to the node's Image input. The upscale factor starts at 2×; change it on the node if you need more.
Select the node and click Run in the toolbar above it, which shows the cost. The node shows Running while it works.
When it finishes, the larger image shows on the node.
Result
The upscaled images appear on the node and under Runs and outputs. Connect Image onward, or pick it as a workflow output.
Production tips
- Upscale last. Put the node at the end of the workflow, after edits and background removal, so every earlier step works on smaller, cheaper images.
- Pick factors, not sizes. An exact target size must keep the image's aspect ratio. A factor such as 2× always does.
- Make several sizes at once. Each target you add makes one more image per input, for example a 2× preview and a 4× master.
- To make an image smaller, use Resize Image instead.
If something goes wrong
- Target size does not match the aspect ratio of the input image. Use a factor, or a size with the same proportions.
- The file is too large to upscale, or the output is too large. The model caps input and output size. Use a smaller factor, or resize first.
- The factor you want is not offered. The model supports a fixed set of factors. Pick another model.
