Organize your session board
Last updated: November 3, 2026
Lay a crowded session board out by what each card was made from, or by kind or date, and bring the whole board back into view.
Steps
Open the session from the sidebar. Its board holds everything generated and uploaded in it.
Click Organize at the bottom right of the board, or press Shift+R. Each card moves to the right of the card it was made from, and the view frames the whole board.
To arrange the board by kind instead, click the zoom percentage at the bottom right, then Group by and Type. Date lays every card out newest first.
Click Fit All in View, next to Organize, or press F to see the whole board again.
Result
Organize lays the board out from its top-left corner, in up to three parts, shaped to fit your screen:
On top, any card that many of the others were made from, such as a logo attached to most generations, in a row of its own.
Below it, the cards that belong to no family, one column per kind: playables, videos, 3D models, audio, images, then the rest, each newest first.
Then the families: each card to the right of the card it was made from, with the variants of one generation kept together.
A card's family comes from what made it: the image it was edited from, or the source and reference images its generation used. When several cards on the board went into one, Organize puts it beside the most specific of them. The new positions are saved with the session, and everyone in it sees them.
Production tips
Every layout is one undo step. Press Cmd+Z (Ctrl+Z on Windows) to put every card back where it was.
A group moves as one, with its cards inside it as you arranged them. Group the cards you want kept together before you organize.
Cards you hid from the board stay hidden and are not moved.
Organize before a review: each character's or each scene's iterations read left to right. Then Group by, Favorites (Shift+V) collects the favorited cards into a group named Favorites and leaves the rest of the board as it is.
Right-click an empty part of the board for the same actions: Fit all in view, Organize and Group by, with Type, Date and Favorites.
Shortcuts: Shift+R organizes, Shift+T groups by type, Shift+D groups by date, F fits the whole board and Shift+F fits the selected cards.
The workflow canvas has the same controls at its bottom right: Reorganize lays the nodes out by how they connect, and Fit All in View brings the whole graph into view.
If something goes wrong
A message says Layer couldn't read what each card was made from. Organize arranged the cards by kind instead. Press Cmd+Z to undo it and click Organize again.
Some cards sit in columns above the families. A card joins a family only when it was made from another card on this board. Uploads, and cards made from a prompt alone or from files that are not on the board, have none. Drag them where you want them, or group them with their family.
A logo or style sheet sits on its own in the top row. So many of the board's cards were made from it that putting them all beside it would make one long column. Organize keeps it apart so the families stay readable.
Organize and Fit All in View are greyed out. The board is empty. Generate or upload something first.
