Analyze your Meta ads in chat

Last updated: October 11, 2026

Connect your Meta Ads account and ask the agent about your own Facebook and Instagram campaigns: spend, results and which creatives are working, so the next round of creative is based on real performance.

Before you start

  • A Layer admin connects Meta, signing in with a Facebook account that has access to the ad accounts you want to analyze.
  • Once connected, anyone in the workspace who chats with the agent can ask about those ad accounts. Connect only accounts the whole workspace may see.
  • The agent reads your ads; it does not create, edit, pause or pay for anything in Meta.

Steps

  1. Open the workspace menu, choose Workspace Settings, then select Connectors under Integrations.

  2. Under Advertising & UA, click Connect on Meta, then Continue with Meta, and approve access in the Meta window.

  3. Open a chat with the agent and ask about your ads, for example: "Which of my Meta campaigns spent the most in the last 30 days, and what were their results?"

Result

The agent finds your ad accounts, walks down to the campaigns, ad sets, ads and creatives you asked about, and answers with the numbers it pulled. It can show you the creatives themselves, so you can generate new variations of a winner in the same conversation.

What to ask

  • "Rank my active ads by cost per result this week and show me the top five creatives."
  • "How did spend and ROAS change for the summer campaign between the last two weeks?"
  • "Take my best-performing creative and make three variations with a different hook."

Production tips

  • Name the account and the period. "My Meta account for the puzzle game, last 7 days" gets a precise answer faster than "my ads".
  • Close the loop in one session. Ask for the winners, then brief new creative from them in the same chat so the agent keeps the performance context.
  • Compare with the market. With Sensor Tower also connected, ask how your creatives compare with what competitors run.

If something goes wrong

  • The agent says it has no Meta tools. Meta is not connected, or its access lapsed. An admin can connect or reauthorize it in Connectors.
  • An ad account is missing. The Facebook account that connected Meta cannot see it. Grant that account access in Meta Business settings, then reauthorize.
  • Numbers differ from Ads Manager. Check the date range and attribution window. Ask the agent which period it used and restate it if needed.
