How to use the Activity Feed in Layer

With Activity Feed, you can see all generations from your team - who created them, which prompts were used, and a preview of each asset.

Updated over a week ago

The Activity Feed is your new home for tracking all asset generations across your workspace. Whether you’re creating 2D, 3D, Canvas, or Video assets, this centralized feed makes it easy to review, search, and revisit everything you’ve generated.

Especially when working with a larger game team, Activity Feed gives you a high level view of what's going on across your entire workspace.

What’s in the Activity Feed

Generations View

The Generations View shows a running list of every asset created in your workspace - across all models and generation types. You’ll see:

  • When each asset was generated

  • Who in your workspace created each asset

  • The prompt used

  • A preview of the asset

Clicking any asset opens a detailed view in a right-side drawer, just like in the Session view.

Filter and Search with Ease

To help you find exactly what you’re looking for, you can:

  • Search by prompt text, asset name, or user

  • Filter by style, asset type, or creator

  • Adjust the date range to view assets from today, this week, last month, or a custom window

This makes it easy to revisit past work, compare outputs, or find inspiration from your team.

Where to Find It

  • In the left-hand menu, click Activity (formerly labeled History).

  • You’ll land in the Generations tab, where all your generated assets are displayed.

  • Use the search bar and filters at the top to narrow down the feed.

  • Click on any asset to view full details in the drawer on the right.

💡Note: This is a new interface, built from the ground up for speed and clarity. Some users may still see the old History page during the rollout, but the Activity Feed is the new default.

Tips for Using the Feed

  • Looking for something specific? Use the style or asset type filters to narrow your search.

  • Want to pick up where you left off? Search for part of your prompt to find a previous generation.

  • Need a reference for consistency? Browse recent generations from your team to match a style or theme.
